Insurance and Y2K

Like a lot of other things, Y2K is out in the open in the insurance industry. Policies are going out now with nonrenewal notices unless policyholders indemnify the companies re Y2K. One company here in Texas sent out a flyer advising of such policies, and concluded it with the suggestion that agents buy themselves a generator.

I read somewhere that state insurance regulators in over 40 states had passed laws allowing insurance cos to write Y2K exceptions to their corporate policies. I wish I could recall where the article came from. Perhaps you could ask this group for a better lead.
