Does anyone have any experience with this lens.

My Canon 28-105 is my favorite lens, but I would like a faster one.

I plan to buy either the Canon 28-70L or the Tamron 28-105 (I wish Canon made a 28-105L 2.8)

Jim, you didn't go through the static content. In the lens section you will find several threads. Here is my review:

AF speed will be slower than with a Canon lens. How much I don't know, if you know a good store try it out. Good luck....
