I b ought a Toshiba PDR-5 digital camera..I like everything about the camera, except that the lithium batteries run down rather quickly..at $8 a pop, is there such a thing as a rechargeable 3 volt lithium battery that can be used for this camera.. Thanks, BArb

Hi Barb, Sorry, I don't know of a rechargeable battery in that size. (And yes, they ARE expensive.) Even though the PDR-5's LCD is reflective (meaning no power-hungry backlight), it still draws a lot of juice from the battery. Leaving the LCD screen off unless you absolutely need it should dramatically improve battery life.

I have the same trouble with the PDR-M4. I can't even locate a spare for it. I found this but no little about it. Sounds like a good fix if it works. I'm sending it to Toshiba to see if it'll be the ticket. http://www.thomas-distributing.com/dp-dps-8000.htm
