Hi! I do this quite often! First of all, you need to scan your phot using your favorite imaging software (for example, Microsoft Photo Editor or Micrografix Picture Publisher). Once you have your photo successfully scanned you SAVE it in the type of format you want (.jpg, .tif, .bmp) .jpg seems to be the best but it uses lots of memory. Then when you are emailing you just attach this file!! It takes longer to email pictures, of course, because of the file size. If you have ANY questions on anything, please feel free to email me. Good luck! -Jody

just an amateur addendum to the previous answer. Whether from my camera or my scanner, when I email photos, I reduce the file size FOR EMAIL ONLY in my Adobe Photo Delux program, which has a for email process that reduces to a jpg dpi of 72, the maximum needed for monitor viewing. If you want the recipient to be able to print quality reproductions of your emailed photos, you will need to keep to higher jpg resolutions.
