Has anyone found a workaround to using regular CD-R's on the Philips CDR-765 yet? Someone told me that if you remove the cover it will allow any CD-R to be used but it didn't work. Any Suggestions??!!

The simple swap trick works: insert an expensive blank, close the door, let the machine read it, then pull the door open manually. Replace that blank with a cheap one and manually push the door closed--don't press the "close" button. That's it! Just don't turn the machine off till you finalize, or remove the CD. But you can stop and start recording all you like.

The mfr said this wouldn't work on the new models, but it does.
