Move over Diane. My claim at 15-minutes of sleuthing fame has uncovered that Bag o' donuts, Bagadonuts, Bagga Donuts, sometimes shortened to Bags, is a common nickname for the last name "Bagdonas" otherwise meaning "Gift from God".
