Easy Software to Print Wallets and 5" x 7"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I am new to digial photography. I just got a Sony Mavica FD-81 camera. I am looking for software to take a photo and format it to multiple wallets and 5" x 7" sizes on a page. I heard Kodak Picture Easy may do that.

Is that true? Is it a matter of copy and pasting or drag and drop? I would like to see one photo and set it up with 2 5" x 7" or 6 wallets on one page. What is good software to do this?

Thank you,

I think Picture Easy does that, but you're restricted to all the same size image on the page. Randy Glass at the Feather River Canyon News has a couple of great reviews of imaging software on his site. Its at http://www.quiknet.com/~frcn -- navigate to his "digital photography" section, and you'll find some excellent information!

You can take a look at FlipAlbum.

It automatically create indexes and thumb nails for your easy reference. All the indexes, thumb nails & full pictures are displayed on a page flipping, book-like interface so that you can flip through the pages to select the pictures you want.

It's editing features allows you to re-size your picture either by "click & drag" at the flame of the pictures or by using a "moving scale".

You can download a full feature trial version for 30 days at:

Try Photo Assistant.

I am using QImage Pro, version 2.2 You can try it out, and see if you like it. Use the "drop box" and drag your pictures onto the size and orientation you want, and it will automatically position them on the page. Check it out at: http://www.charm.net/~mchaney/imaging/

Good luck.
