The back isn't dark enough in this scan, as far as I can tell and I think more lighting on the lower part of the flower would have helped. Though If I turn the brightness down it becomes a very nice image.

I think Tait meant the "black" not the "back". Anyway, both the back and the black look fine on my monitor. I think it is an excellent shot with nice lighting and exposure. I do think that the bloom needs a little more room (heh heh) at the edges and perhaps a touch more DOF.

Still, very nice.

I would like to see this cropped not quite so tightly also, especially at the top, but I think this is a beautiful, elegant image.The black background looks fine on my monitor too.
