Search engine for news stories on bugs and glitches

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

It's 4 January 1999, the first business day of the year. Offices will be opening about four hours from now. Will we be hearing about one-year lookahead failures today and tomorrow?

Here's a search engine you can use to find recent news articles about computers, bugs, and glitches:

http://search.excite.com/search.gw?collection=timely&lk=excite&search=bug*+computer*+glitch*

This link can be bookmarked and later clicked on anytime you want to do a search on "bug", "computer" and "glitch". I didn't include "y2k" "millennium" or "year 2000" in the search, because some of the January 1999 failures may not be reported as Y2K-related.

NAH----! All we are hearing about are the folks who forgot that water turns into a solid at 32 deg. F!!!! Unless you were in Chicago, this should have been a bump in the road. We got 3" of snow and 1/4" of ice but we can usually handle this stuff. Most of our schools are closed because of wind chill (-30 +/- F).

Coming to Cleveburgh from Potsdam, NY this is a nice walk in the park day.

My favorite time-saving news clipping source (updated at least daily) is
