I heard it this morning on my local radio station. Mr. Burkett is wideley respected by the Christian community and many DGI's and DWGI's will probably be persuaded to start making preperations based on his program.(This might convince my wife to GI)

The hour long program covered a lot of ground with a lot of info, recommendations, and preparedness issues. The program talked about 3-5 weeks of food stored as a minimum, much more as you are finanically able to for helping others that have done nothing. Also said was that alternate sources of power for heat,light,and cooking cooking should be made ready. He thought banks would be ready or else the FDIC would shut them down. He mentioned his bank is doing things manually on paper three seperate times to make sure everyone knows how it was done in the old days, and to see if they can do it again. He recommened that hard copies of all records be made and kept, also that a 4 month supply any medications that were critical be purchased.

Like this forum has been saying, the flood gates are begining to be opened for people in a scramble for supplies. I know dozens of people at church who after hearing this will start asking questions and now start making ready for Y2K.

I sure hope so. A last minute scramble in December combined with Christmas shopping might well cause as much or more trouble than actual Y2K failures.

This is a good point. Cory's lastest WRP makes it clear that the general public needs to begin facing their fears now, as in the next two months, in order to be able to "feed that snake to the dog"

Since when it is ever wrong to be prepared for potential disasters? In the event of NO disaster, I bet people will NOT be standing around saying: "Look at all this lousy food and water I have." LOL.

I'm sitting at my window this fine January afternoon, 3:00, listening to the militia guys training (lotsa guns) down the road. Got Milita? These guys, and I, have been preparing, and warning, for some time and now. The Johnny come lately's (those that created the BEAST) are screaming that the sky is falling, it has been for some time now and it will continue until the SYSTEM is gone. I would like to flame Larry for some things he has said in the past but perhaps he can "see clearly now" so I will just say "good idea" Larry.
