I'm very close to buying a film scanner and right now my #1 choice would be the Nikon Coolscan LS30 (the LS2000 is too far outside the budget). Do you have any review info or are there any plans for a review?

Yes! After multiple delays, we just received our review unit of the LS-30 last week. We hope to have sample images from it posted within a week. All software operation is identical, except the LS-30 only goes to 10 bits, rather than 12 per channel. Thus, we really only need to do comparison scans so you can see the difference in bit depth.
