http://www.millenium.ch is the official government delegate Y2K web site. I find it very "thin", basic message is "just trust us". Their statemnt on electricy is:

Mastering the problem in Switzerland

On the basis of information which had been collected until the end of October, the Year 2000 Delegate of the Federal Council concluded on the following assessment in view of the year end 1999.

The efforts still required to resolve the millennium problem are at least as great as those already made. More intensive work must be done in some sectors (parts of the basic services respectivley the logistical platform, the public sector, some companies) to solve the problems and there must be stricter management. It would not be prudent to expect a trouble-free way out of the problem. However, there does not appear to be a fundamental risk of large disruptions in Switzerland as a result of the millennium problem. Providing open information to clients, business partners and the general public is important. This has to start in the first quarter of 1999 at the latest.

Individual sectors:

...

Electricity:

The most important area of basic services. Specific work at power stations and long-distance supply stations (maximum voltage). It can be expected that problems will be solved in good time. Varying situation at subordinate supply stations (cantonal stations, communal stations). An overall view of the situation is being published by the Association of Swiss Power Stations in December. Telecommunications:

Swisscom is the dominant supplier. Comprehensive programme which leads us to expect that problems will be solved satisfactorily. Providing open information to the general public.

....

that's it, any comments? Does anybody have more info on Switzerland?
