I know of a FAQ dealing with the city of San Francisco that you might find of interest. It is located at:

The FAQ is mine. Thanks to my girlfriend for giving it a mention. Someone e-mailed her claiming to be an expert on Alcatraz and stated that I made SEVEN MAJOR MISTAKES on that section. I assure you, everything has been cross-checked for accuracy and I think that person was just a hoax, trying to get under my skin. Sorry dude, it didn't work. Anyway, I put a lot of work into the FAQ and there is always the possibility of something being incorrect. Please feel free to let me know if you do find something wrong, but be nice.

I see that a good SF FAQ is beginning to develop here on the newsgroup...which is great. Especially since I haven't done any work on mine since last December. I've recently moved out of state, but I still want to maintain my document. In faqt, er, fact, I'm doing a LOT of work on it. Meanwhile, the present version can be found at a new location:

I miss the City already, but at least I can still surf this site and keep in touch with her history. Later folks.

I tried both those URL's and as of 1/31/00 got 404 errors for both. Can you tell me where they are now located. I could also use a good historical timeline for events in SF, especially the early 70's for research for a novel I'm writing set in SF
