Hi there! I was wondering if someone could help telling me why this 55mm 3,5 was ever discontinued and replaced witha f4 version. Which one is better?Thanks!

The f/3.5 was probably redesigned because Pentax thought they could improve its performance. Although the 3.5 is not a bad lens, the latest version f/4 is known to be super. The 55mm has been covered ad nauseam not only in this forum but in the MFD--- db.photo.net/bboard SR
