Flashpath adapter problems ????

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Today I received a Toshiba PDR-m1 digital camera and managed to check it out a little, very impressed so far, along with the camera I ordered an 8 meg. mem. card and a flash path adapter. I intalled the software that came with the Flashpath adapter ( 3 different times ) just in case it was an installation error. When I click on the adapter icon it comes up stating that there is no media in the adaptor ( and there is ) and the three meters are all in the red. But i can download the pics through the Image Expert software that came with the camera. Did I get a bad adaptor disk ? Any info will be appreciated, P.S. I'm moderately handy with computers so I don't believe that I was in error in installing the software.

Phil, I was a little confused by the lights on the adapter(have had my Toshiba PDR-M1 for about a week), but opened Explorer, went to drive a:\, and there were my files! You can just drag them to the directory you want on your hard drive. There might be an easier way, but that works for me. :)

Good luck! Diana

After I posted the question about the Flashpath Adaptor I went to the Toshiba Site on the Net and in the FAQ section they addressed the question I posed. They suggested going into Windows Explorer and doing what Dianna suggested in her post in answer to my question. Thanks to the people who responded to my post. Phil
