Y2K EXPO's

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Would anyone who may hear of or know of any Y2K Expo's around the country, please post the time and place here. This is so those of us who want to attend will know what may be in our area.

Is there a specific outfit that is putting on these Expo's? Maybe someone could get a nation wide listing from them...

Just read this article which referred to Expos:

Enjoy while you can: article URLs do not last long. Neither do Y2K supplies on store shelves!

Leska,

About http://www.y2knews.com/ -- you might want to be cautious about them (Y2K News Magazine).

Slightly farther down the page from their link to the Ottawa Citizen "Y2K fuels ration rush" article, y2knews.com has posted a link to an Information Technology article at Express India that asserts a Y2K myth, but without adding any comment or warning. The fourth link after the one to the article you mention is < strong>After Y2K, it is February 30 bug biting (Information Technology).

The February 30 myth! And Y2K News Magazine did not make any comment on that -- maybe they're just super-droll? (I haven't been to their site often.)

The "February 30" article at Express India's Information Technology site ends abruptly, as though it might have been interrupted in mid-composition but published on their Web site in error.

I've already notified both Y2K News Magazine and Information Technology.
