War-of-Wills?

I recently found out that my 7 mo. old tabby, Blush, is a MC look-alike. Thanks to your BB, I can see that she has several of the characteristics (both physical and behavioral)of a MC. Recently, though, she has been showing a disturbing rebellious nature. We had her spayed right before Thanksgiving, and since then when I stop her from scratching on the furniture or apparently don't play with her enough (by her standard), she runs into a corner of my living room and urinates. This is obviously done on purpose since I'm usually freaking out and she's calmly continuing her "business" while staring me in the eye. We keep the litter box cleaned daily. Any advise would be helpfull. A friend told me we were having a war-of-wills and it seems as though my baby is winning! HELP!

IT'S OBVIOUS SHE IS ANGRY. TRY COMPROMISE, GET HER A SCRATCHING TREE AND LET HER KNOW SHE'S THE ONE IN YOUR LIFE. AND IF SHE STOPS TRY REDUCE YOUR ATTENTION AND SEE HOW MUCH SHE NEED TO BEHAVE NORMALLY. IF NO SUCCESS TRY PUT THE BOWL WITH FOOD AT THE PLACE WHERE SHE LIKES TO URINATE. CATS DON'T MIX TOILET AND FOODPLACE. AND PUT SOME KIND OF PLASTIC OVER YOUR FURNITURE. CATS DON'T LIKE SCRATCHING AT PLASTIC. BUT SHE WILL FIND ANOTHER PLACE AS THERE INSTICT SAYS SO. YOU HAVE TO TEACH HER WHERE IT IS ALOWED AND WHERE IT'S FORBIDDEN.

My MC did the same thing, only on the bed. It was right after I had him borded (which I will NEVER do again). He did have a high PH which could have contributed to the problem. I would take her to the vet and have it checked, maybe put her on a low ph diet and then confine her with her litter box after sho goes potty. So far, he has not done it in almost a whole month. Whew.
