Olympus 220L or 320L for Web site viewing on ebay

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I am going to be buying either the Olympus D-220L or the 320L.

I will be using it primarily on a 486DX66 with win3.1 so download speed may be effected by this.

I am planning on using the pictures mostly for selling products on ebay. Would the 320 be overkill for just monitor viewing? I need to take alot of close up pictures. I saw on the review of the 320L on this web page that the macro picture is very good on the 320. Does the 220 take good macro pictures?

Thank you very much in advance, Dan

Your question is somewhat funny, because viewing image on eBay doesn't impose any special requirements, you have same concerns as with general web publishing.

I decided to answer it, because I have Olympus D340L and I do use it for exact same purpose! The macro capability of the camera is really good, if not exceptional. You may want to disable flash though, to avoid glare, and pay attention to ambient lighting.

I don't understand why to continue to use Win 3.1, but probably you have some obscure reason.
