I began photography hobby with 5x7 format, with glass plate, sheet film film holders, Zeiss Tessar lens. I cannot recall the name of the camera. It was big box, with look down leather hood, a single lens reflex with focal plane shutter. Latter I downsized to a Rolleicord TLR, then to Leica SM, then SLR. I was keep on downsizing, but my SLR cameras were upsizing, growing bigger and bigger. Then I found Rollei 35, Minox 35ML. I was interested in Minox ultraminiature camera for quite some time, for not other reason then curiosity, it looked cute, I told myself I must get one just as a display piece. Never thought of it can take any real picture. I was till downsizing to a Rollei E110; the camera is cute but I was never quite happy with the prints. A Minox IIIs is about 1/3 the size of Rollei E110, if E110 did not produce good pictures for me, how can a Minox IIIs ? I bought a Minox Daylight development tank and developed my first roll of Agfapan APX 25 taken with my Minox IIIs. When I examined my first strip of tiny Minox negatives with a 20x loup, I couldd not believe my eyes, I neve seen any sharper negatives ! I have found my ULTIMATE POCKET PHOTOGRAPY MACHINE !

CROSS SECTION OF MINOX CAMERAS.
As evident from the dimensions of various Minox models, the cross section dimension of Minox remains the same 28m x 16mm from Minox II to Minox TLX; for good reason: may Minox accesories such as binocular clamp, Minox copy stand, tripod clamp etc can more or less be used, this is only possible if the cross section of these models are the same. One exception of Minox EC/ECX, it has a larger cross section of 30 x 18mm, 2 mm over that of other Minoxes in width and height. Non of Minox tripod clamp, binocular adapter nor Minox copy stand can be used on EC/ECX. The greater width and height of Minox EC/ecx vs A/B/C/LX/TLX is due to the thicker camera shell.
