Glasgow Scotland, Y2K awareness???greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread
I am looking to get involved in an awareness plan for Glasgow. I am currently at Glasgow University and was doing my thesis on Y2K, but now am more interested in both raising awareness and contingency planning. I have found through a process (sometimes painful)of trial and error that very few people seem interested. Anyone out there interested in joining a group, sharing skills, ideas etc...for how best to go about waking Glasgow up and later helping with contingencies. Please contact me at this address. Thanks

I recommend that you have a look at The Cassandra Project's Community Bulletin Board.
Here are the Cassandra Project objectives:
"To raise public awareness and alert Public Sector organizations of potential Y2K related health and safety risks, and interruption of basic and essential services
Promote community preparation activities
Monitor federal, state, and local Y2K activities as it relates to the public welfare
Promote contingency planning for all health, safety, and basic and essential services related systems
Establish a clearinghouse for neighborhood and community preparedness activities"

another place to check is the Joseph Project 2000 at http://www.josephproject2000.org/default.html
which is a Christian-led nonprofit organization aimed at community preparedness.
