Change of Contract for "A" Project

I would like to change my Contract for "A"

Originally, I wanted to do somekind of computer presentation in front of the Cohort group. After thinking about it and attending my training sessions I no longer feel this would be an option for me. First of all because all of the technology programs I attended were on a system called "Claris Works" which we use in our district. Clairis Works is not used at UMD. Also, I figured it would be a hassle trying to arrange for me to use the equipment to do this is our already hectic schedule. Anyways, I decided to put a human service project togehter instead. This is what I came up with.

Human Service Project with Red Cross

For my contract for "A" I am setting up a human service project with the American Red Cross. We are having a guest Speaker come in on Friday December 18 to talk with my classes. Our Spanish classes will then be given little friendship boxes to fill up. Once we get them in, the Red Cross will send them to the schools in Nicaragua and Hondouras, the two countries suffering most from hurricane damage. We will write letters and request photographs. We hope to keep this an ongoing process. The name of our project is "Unidos por Espaqol" United by Spanish.

I would like to again modify my contract for "A" grade. I loved my original idea and am still planning to do it but my guest speaker from the red cross had a sudden family emeregency and is having trouble rescheduling his visit. I will use this as my next contract for A.

November 23, I attended a conference offered by the MN DEPT of Children, Families and Learning regarding the standards and implementation of the Grad Rule in foreign languages. The course was taught by Julie Williams-Finn and Neil Wittico of Hermantown. It was an all day seminar set up exclusively for Foreign Language teachers. If needed, I can give an update on what our department has been doing to address these issues either to the class or written.
