I would like to contract for an "A" in this course.

I will complete all of the "C" requirements plus read an additional text ("A Tribe Apart" by Patricia Hersch) or attend a related conference plus participate in a local human service project. This more than likely will be related to an Out-of-Home Placed Youth research study.

For the other minor project, I will participate in helping new Extension staff become successful UMES Educators (as discussed at the Oct. 28 meeting).

A friend of mine who is a social worker at a high school here, working mostly with the teen moms, told me about that book. Excellent. Will the human service project relate to work you're currently doing or hope to do in the future or both? Will your new expertise somehow be shared through the UMES Educators plans? Good luck.
