Need Large Pressure Canner

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I need to find a large pressure canner to buy. The one I have now only holds 7 quarts at a time, plus it has a rubber ring. I would like to find a larger one that does not use a rubber ring that wears out. Thanks in advance.

Call Cooks Corner in Wisconsin. 800-236-CHEF. I just got an order from them yesterday. They have pressure canners with up to 41 qt. capacity. Thei customer service is very helpful.

I was able to get two locally for not very much $$$. One at an auction and one through an ad I ran in the local ad paper. I also got 600 canning jars, many of them free but all of them cheap, through the same ad. If you're on a tight budget you may want to try that.

Bout as heavy duty as you can get. No seals. Metal to metal. Seven different sized models. Smallest holds pints. The largest (which I've had since 1986) model 941 which holds 19 quart jars. I think the 941 ran about $150.
