Usefulness of Audio versus Movie mode

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I am trying to decide on a digital camera. I like the features of the Casio QV-7000SX. (I played with a QV-770 extensively and liked the way it operated and the movie mode was neat. I want higher resolution and removable compactflash however, and thus the 7000 seems nice.) One feature that is not present in any of the Casios is the ability to record a few seconds of audio with each picture. Could some of you experienced owners let me know how useful you find these two features (audio and movie mode)? This will help me make my decision between these trade-offs. Thanks.

Hi Kenny-

I'm for sure not a typical user, but FWIW, I've never found a need or desire to record audio clips with a camera, but on several occasions have recorded mini-movies. - Just my 2 cents worth...
