I am in the market for a digital camera in the $1,000 price range. I have done some research, but can't quite find the camera which has all the features I was hoping for. If you know of a camera with the following features, please let me know.

Mega pixel (1000 X 1000 plus) USB interface Short boot-up time Bright LCD screen and Optical viewfinder Minimal delay in writing pictures from memory Through the lens focus mechanism Large memory CompactFlash card memory (preferred) Lens protection Built in flash

I just bought the new Casio QV-7000SX. It has a large LCD screen that I think is very good. It is a mega pixel (1280x960). You can get a USB adapter that accepts the compact flash cards. The camera comes with an 8mg compact flash card. It does not have an optical view finder, lens protection, or focus through the lens. However, I do like the 2x optical zoom plus 4x digital zoom. The photo quality is fantastic (check out review on QV-5000SX & upcoming QV-7000SX review.) The camera is less than $550 on the web. If you find one with the additional features you like, let us all know.
