In July I visited a local chain camping supply store asking for 55-gallon drums and other preparatory paraphanalia. They looked at me with stupor in their eyes and told me that not only didn't they have what I was looking for, they didn't even know what that stuff was. Now, this past weekend, they are in our local paper talking about all the business they are doing in regards to y2k. Maybey I ought to go have a talk with that manager who tried to make me feel stupid...
