Energy East / NYSEG?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Electric Utilities and Y2K : One Thread

NYSEG PR stiffed me entirely for an article commissioned by a county newspaper on area utility readiness (interestingly, one of their Project 2000 SW guys told me later I had written an excellent article even though I trashed NYSEG's stonewalling and warned readers to get generators).

I'm looking for public disclosures by Energy East (their parent) or NYSEG. Help greatly appreciated.

Russ,

Go to: http://www.sec.gov/edaux/formlynx.htm and in the company name, type in NEW YORK STATE (you don't have to type in the full name). NYSEG comes right up. Then use the 'find' feature in your browser and type in YEAR 2000 when the popup box comes up. That way, you won't have to page through the whole document to find what you're looking for.

It's not pretty. Not a single word about embedded systems and microprocessors. But it looks like they'll still be able to send out billing statements. ;-)

Whoops - I forgot a step - when NYSEG comes up, pick the latest 10Q statement (11/13/1998, I believe), THEN do the y2k search as previously recommended.
