...did you know that most computers were programmed with only a 2-digit date capacity, and when the clocks roll over on 1/1/2000 they will read it as either 1/1/1900, or completely screw up and spew out bad data?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?? My brain automaticaly skips over that annoying, almost laughable paragraph tht is included in EVERY article on Y2K!!! I know, I know, it's for those who haven't "gotten it" yet but still, maybey they could put that paragraph at the end of the article in a small box, and tell the readers who are y2k illiterate to refer to the box if the term "y2k" makes them think of the stuff that their Dr. puts on his rubber glove when he is giving an exam...ewwww, sorry!!!!!!!!

Better that than the classic "airplanes falling from the sky" junk. It would be an interesting research project using the Internet for, say, a middle school class, to actually find the first occurrence of this claim. Everyone in the Y2K scenario biz disavows ever having made such a claim.
