need help

Hi, I'm new at this, and need help.

I'd like to have a digital camera and maybe I don't know why... I've read about the image quality one can have with the digital, is it true that it's much better?

Would like some help in choosing one as well. Kodak, Canon, Nikon?

Can you people help a novice?

Digital is not near what conventional photography can produce. You will get a better picture if u scan a pics from a 35mm pic than digital cameras. Why get them? They are fun..basically! The output can be excellent on screen and good for prints depending what kind of printer u have. Generally, the higher the resolution on a digi cam..the better output. Some of the best current digital cameras include the Nikon cp900s,Ricoh rdc-4200,Kodak 260,Toshiba pdrm-1 and the Fuji mx-500. I have the ricoh rdc-4200 and it has 1280x960 reso and many features and a lower price than similar cameras. Check out to the left and click on "Digital Cameras" and then go to this site http://www.pcphotoforum.com/index.shtml Then click on "user reviews" to see what others think of some u may be considering. And maybe even www.shortcources.com to learn much more! Good luck and Have fun!
