Opinion:What does everyone think of undead in 40k

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Games Workshop Discussion : One Thread

Being that 40k 3rd edition is going the way of Warhammer fantasy battle, does anybody out there think that 40k undead is a real possibility in the future? The background is there, and I am not refering to the necrons, which, in my opinion, was a flop. What I am talking about is the story in Codex:Imperial Guard about Solar Macharius and his conquest to the edge of the known galaxy where it says, in summary, that nothing living can survive? It would be the perfect counterpart to Araby in Warhammer, although I know little about the background for undead in Warhammer. With all of the new Imperium of Man armies being released, maybe the galaxy could use a few fresh faces such as the recently released Dark Eldar and maybe the soon to be released Squats? Why not undead?

I have to agree that 4ok needs more races, but undead? I'm still waiting for the damn squat codex to come out!!! GUARD 4 LIFE!

I personally think we should have undead in 40K

I've monitored all the chat on this board for awhile now, and I'm quite impressed with everyone. I wanted to respond to this post because I wanted to locate a web site where I did find a pretty good rendition of Undead for 40K using 2nd edition rules. Anyone got any clues as to where I might find that lost Undead 40K site?
