Irda and IrTran-p

I ahve recently purchased a Casio QV-770 and can not seem to get the irda port to transfer the images. Does anyone know where to get the IrTran-P protocol for windows 98?

You might try rooting around the Microsoft web site (if you haven't already). They have a section somewhere on drivers & such that might have what you need. Generally though, they seem not to distribute hardware-specific drivers at all freely, perhaps because they don't want to be in the position of supporting the hardware. If your PC has an Irda port on it, you may have the best luck going back through the PC manufacturer.

I have no problem using my QV-770 with the IR-port. It works with the standard MS-windows IR-protocol (you can get this from their web site) and the camera set to transfer over the PC QV-link. In this mode the PC and camera will use the standard IR-protocol for the file transfer. This works fine with Casio's own QV software.

To my knowledge the IrTran-P protocol is not supported by either Casio's PC software or by Microsoft. The protocol will however be used tranfering images between the camera and other appliances like a PDA or Smart Phone.
