The fall colors:

Film: Fujichrome Velvia. Pentax ZX-5N. 80-200mm zoom lens handheld. Shot into the sun on a hazy day. Exposure: Opened-up one stop from the normal exposure indicated by the on-camera spotmeter reading from the red leaf to brighten the leaf's image tone.

Bahman, I like how you've isolated just a few simple elements to create this image, how they sweep across the frame, and the color against the stark, white background. Beautiful.

striking composition and perfect exposure. has the feel of a japanese watercolor. congratulations.

A lovely composition and excellent use of Velvia, but I do wish you'd keep your image sizes to the specs in the rules - no more than 400 pixels high, nor more than 600 wide and 50K file size. I hate having to scroll around to see the entire image and can never evaluate it properly.

I really like your photographic style - simple and elegant. Minor quibble - I don't really like the orientation of leaf on the upper left, albeit it seems necessary to have something there. Do you feel the same way?

Thanks for all your comments. I agree. The subject is simple. I also love the color of the main leaf. The leaf on the top LHS does not bother me that much. Actually both leaves seem to act as visual supports for the top branch. Thanks again. Bahman.
