Think this nuclear supplier will be compliant?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Electric Utilities and Y2K : One Thread |
not really a question, just an observation, someone please set me straight on this:http://www.netcom.com/~caprit =================================================================== (from the headline on the web page) This company: Capri Technology, specializes in computer-related products and services to the nuclear industry. Since 1981, CTI has provided cost-effective solutions to operating nuclear plants.
So I found this mildly interesting.
There's a bunch of links to things his company has done in the nuclear industry, one of them is a link to the "AutoScramTimer"
for more info on this device, go to the website and click through, at the very end of this page is a "sample" output display of the AutoScramTimer which ends with this:
************************************************************************ Number of rods: 185 Oldest scram: 07/10/86 ( 216 days ago) Rod: 1807 Last scram: 01/10/87 16:12:36 Todays date: 02/11/87 14:28:20 ************************************************************************
doesn't look like room for a 4-digit year .
nice to see the suppliers are on top of this thing.
