In search of:
Sample open letter to neighbors about forming community Year 2000 preparation committees.
Has anyone come across good ( successful!? ) sample letters that could be used as a template for motivating communities into organizing for the Year 2000 Techno-Ambush?
I had a 1-hour ( serious ) meeting with my township clerk on Friday, November 13, 1998 re the Year 2000 and likely impact upon our community.
I am making my 5th -- and probably final -- public presentation/forum about the Year 2000 Techno-Ambush on December 9, 1998. At these forums, my intent has been to inform and motivate individuals in the community at-large, to actions in their own families and communities preparing for collapse of the infrastructure before and after 01/01/00.
At this final forum, I'd like to make (a) template(s) for a rational, open letter to neighbors for the purpose of seeking to organize and gain the the attention and interest of local public officials in the efforts.
There's no sense in reinventing the "wheel" -- so to speak if there are successful examples to leverage. I've done Internet searches, to no avail.
Your assistance locating URLs and/or private/postings in this effort would be appreciated.

Everybody should have an agent like Donna! I do have a 2-sided,
tri-fold pamphlet designed to raise community awareness. It outlines
the problem, gives a few steps to take to prepare, and has a space for
you to put your contact info. Free for the downloading to anybody who
asks! (Already sent it to you, Bob.)
By the way, if anybody is interested in how our community's water

want to ask similar questions of your water authority.
