Toshiba PDR-M1 Digital In/Out?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hi there, I really love this camera. I agree that it sucks batteries, and Ill definitely try NiMH batteries later. Id like to ask if there is any camera owner using PC Win95, able to transfer image from computer back to the cameras Smart Media card? The instruction manual stated Digital In/Out. I asked Sierra Imaging and they said they dont have TWAIN driver to support this camera??? And Toshibas Support is not too helpful either. Please send me an email if anybody knows a way. It appears that the change was made at the last minute and overlooked in the manual. The device you would need to write back to your SmartMedia card is either a PCMCIA SmartMedia reader or the FlashPath floppy disk adapter. Both of these items allow you to read from and write to the SmartMedia cards.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer but a question. Does the Toshiba Digital Camera PDR-M1 have USB technology? Thank you, vb

Sorry, no USB on the PDR-M1. Only a very few digital still cameras have this as yet. Expect more soon, but there probably won't be a lot of USB models before summertime '99.
