For my thesis, I am interested in the topic of brain development. I want to research how the brain works and study how it develops. I would like to apply the information to teaching preschool and primary age children. I wonder sometimes if we are teaching concepts at the best time and if we are teaching them in a way that is best for children. I think there has been a lot of new and information in the area of brain research in the last several years and it has peaked my interest. I have done some reading about the benefits of teaching another language as well as music and art concepts at an early age, because the brain is still growing and developing. I am very anxious to learn more about this subject and apply this knowledge to my students as well as my own children.
