From Scott Fitz...Just a bit about me....

I guess this is the spot where I jot something down about myself. Don't worry, I won't rattle on and on......I'll just give a quick overview of what's currently happening to try to give you a quick idea of who I actually am.

First of all, I am a native Duluthian. I graduated from Denfeld High School and attended and graduated from UMD with a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering. I know...I know...how in the --- did he ever end up in a Master's of Education program!? Well, because throughout my journey through life, I am now currently employed as the Director of Technology for the Proctor Schools just outside of Duluth. I realized very early in the job that in order to really do a good job helping educators incorporate various levels of technology, I needed to better understand education itself. What better opportunity than to spend a good amount of time with a group of educators like yourselves. I look forward to the opportunity to learn along with you and hopefully gain new insights as to how I can better serve you as educators...and more importantly...having a greater impact on the students themselves.

In addition to working for the Proctor Schools, I also do a small amount of work for the Jubilee Foods Grocery Stores in Duluth and Superior. It's part of my responsibility to make sure that the computer systems that run the stores are running smooth and accurate. It also is a way for me to remain aware of the world outside of our school walls.

My wife Sue and I currently have three children, two girls and a boy, and are expecting a fourth in February '99. To say the least, this will definately be an exciting and very busy season!

Again, I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. I'm sure that many friendships will be made throughout these two seasons. I look forward to it!

Thanks!
