Has Agfa "solved' the RC paper problems?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

As one who prints his own B&W and has some LF negs I prefer seeing printed on RC papers(especially some commercial machinery images), does anyone know if Agfa having reformulated their RC paper has actually solved the brown spot & silvering problems?

As I have read it, Agfa seems to be the only paper manufacturor to address the problem. Does anyone have information on this one?

Ctein mentioned a while back that Agfa had quietly recalled the old stock from dealers and reformulated the paper. This was six or more months ago. I routinely selenium-tone all RC papers to prevent the problem.
