Beautiful, magnificent, outstanding! One of the best I've ever seen. (Of course, the others of the best are my own color and B&W images of wet lupine leaves.)

Did you look up the spelling of the lupine's genus name? I thought it was "Lupinus".

your typical work is merely excellent. this is inspirational. i must say that you are consistently the best this group has to offer. how about some tech specs? thanks for a terrific image.

wayne that is a very generous comment, there is quite a bit of great work being posted here, thanks.

Frank your right about the spelling of Lupine's. I probably wasn't thinking when typing the caption to the image. As for this image, Velvia, not sure about shutter but f19 seems about right, 100mm/F2.8 Canon macro, cold morning around 7am, with rain the night before.

I am not sure how the leaf in the lower left corner contributes to the variations of repeating patterns color and texture. Does it seems to strike a bit of a disonant (?) chord ? I had a similar experience with mountain laurel leaves--takes a lot of seeing.

I keep coming back to look at this image. It's very nice--exquisitely sharp. I'm not sure I like the leaf in the lower left hand corner. But it does add a dynamic element, jutting in from the corner of the frame as it does, and leads my eye to the two sets of radiating leaves.

I thought that a larger version might be suitable.

Wow, the larger version is really nice too. The clarity and detail of the water droplets is great.
