Add on to grading contract for Karen Rigdon

I would like to have grading completion instead of an incomplete. For the first semester, in addition to the mentoring program and the newspaper article and coordination, I attended a DFL dinner, met the candidates and took photos with them, and posted a report under my Web page.

For second semester, under A work and in addition to the newspaper column, I am preparing a notebook with educational materials on writing grant proposals. I have already attended a day long conference (Kids Plus) and signed up for the breakout session on beginning grant writing. I am consulting with various organizations to find future opportunities for writing grant proposals. I hope to eventually write a grant proposal but have found that the "law of the farm" is the ruling precedent here. This will take time. If you would like me to present my learnings to the cohort at some future time I would be glad to.

My supplementary reading to report on is "Emotional Intelligence" by Daniel Goleman.

Thank you. Karen Rigdon

Hi Karen!

It looks like you have taken on many projects, and at this time we'd like you to prioritize the projects you would like us to grade for your A first and second term. We anticipate you would select the Mentorship Program participation and the article you published in the November Daily Journal for Fall Term's A. Please forward your selection for Spring Term. Thank you.

Spring Projects include continuing the Project Strive mentoring program, being available to cohort members to review and critique the newspaper articles, and writing a grant proposal for our local Food Shelf for $25,000. I will be developing an educational and provisional program for getting fresh produce, nutrition tips and recipies into low income family homes with young children.
