New Print in the BCCT

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Courier Times Online Feedback : One Thread

This NEW PRINT is terrible. Do you really want people to continue to read this paper? Unless this formats changes I will give up my subscription.

Well you asked for input in Sunday's edition regarding the new format of the paper, and in a simple word, it's awful. Where did you dream up the horrible fonts used to indicate headlines? Did anyone over the IQ of three even test read the banner fonts and articles? Go back to what you had, a readable easy on the eyes script.

This new format is absolutely terrible. I agree with the other comments--where did you come up with this choice. The print is very hard to read and not enjoyable. the headlines look like a high school newspaper--GOOD JOB. Keeping my subscription to this paper is not an option if you continue with this horrible print, pictures and bleed through from other pages.

Good question. My answer is that you're absolutel right and I hope the BCCT is big enough to face its mistake in having chosen an undecipherable font. If you're reading this, BCCT execs, please add my name to the growing list of those who fervently wish for something more attractive and readable. But please hurry!

I agree with all the others. This paper has taken a large step down. The quality of the print and of the paper medium itself are unacceptable.

When the Courier instituted its format and font type changes recently I kept an open mind with the intent of evaluating the changes for a period of time. Having done so, I must say I'm very dissatisfied with the new print fonts finding it much harder to read than the previous type. This type may allow for increased wordage per page but it certainly doesn't help when you can't read the page. Pleas do something to improve this situation.
