"Mad Max" is a sci-fi movie from the eighties. It's an interesting movie, you can rent it from Blockbuster video. Tina Turner sings the main song in it, she is in it too.

I dont think the soundtrack is what is being referred to here. Its the possibility of "spiky haired mutants" ravaging and plundering the countryside like in the film that is at issue.

The film is "The Road Warrior"...Mel Gibson...Sequel is "Mad Max in Thunderdome", I think....both post-apocalyptic, dark scenarios of the remnants that survive catstrophe...both very "original" stereotypical good buys and bad guys (who wear leather jackets...spiked hairdos, and drive madly about in souped up dune buggies....Not the most imaginative Sci-fi I've ever seen...not the worst.

The first movie was "Mad Max", the second "The Road Warrior", the third "Mad Max beyond the Thunderdome". The second movie "The Road Warrior" is the one most people refer to (plus it's the best of the three). Great movie, sad lifestyle. Makes "Grapes of Wrath" look like a Disney flick.

Mad Max is going to be on the Sci Fi channel Tuesday, November 3 at 9:00 pm (Eastern time).

Dear Ann,

I used to be mad, but now I'm into meditation and trying to channel my anger into more positive energies. Just don't mess with my dog, or my car.

Peace, Max

(P.S.-- I kept the shotgun.)
