Ed's new website...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I just spent some time on the "readyfory2k" website, the "Year 2000 Home Preparation Site." I think it's a very good resource. It seems like a work in progress, still lots of holes, and it's more sales oriented than I personally would have preferred, but all in all I would say that this is the resource that I've been looking for as far as information regarding preparation.

On various threads, I and others have talked about distilling the contents of some of the threads into FAQs. I don't know if - A) that will be necessary, this other site seems to at least have the potential to be that distillation. and B) don't think we'd get much support. This other site is, after all, a money making proposition. (nothing wrong with that) Yes, there is still a lot of personalized and specific info in this here goldmine of previous threads, but it seems like they've got the basics pretty well covered.
