Was the 'Heart of The Ocean' real? I read that it was and it is still in the wreck today.

Hi Ian,

Nope, the Heart Of The Ocean was a prop that was used purely for Brock (Bill Paxton) to meet Rose and hear her story.

After the movie they did create a real Heart Of The Ocean which sold for several million which was then donated to a Diana charity. I believe Celine Dion's husband bought it for her.

I hope this helps. There is another thread somewhere with heaps more info but I'm not sure where it is exactly.
