Looks like chocolate ice cream to me, real nice.

Nice image. What film, T-max 100?

Very nice image. I probably would crop of slightly from the top in order to remove the mid-tone grey area on top (slightly left of center). Was this taken witha view camera?

Barbara, this is a nice image with interesting and simplistic patterns. IMO you have too much at the top and is taking away from the bottom part that is the most interesting part. To improve the composition, I would eliminate the top part, just above the black line or eliminate the top of the frame just below the black line.

Thanks for your comments. The film is Ilford FP4. It was shot with an Ikeda 4x5 view camera.

Good combination of texture and light. What lens did you use? Did you use camera movements? I must admit that mud is not what I think of when I envision Alaska.

The lens was a 210mm Rodenstock. I did use limited camera movements to get the depth of field I wanted.

Very nice image! This brings back memories. I grew up in the Copper Valley and used to raft and "tube" down the Gulkana. I can remember sinking up to my ankles in this mud!
