James Cameron was in St. Catharines Ontario Canada this past weekend to receive an honoury degree from Brock University. This was the second time he has returned to the Niagara Region his birth place. He was here this past summer as part of the first annual Niagara Falls film festival.

Dan:

I totally agree with Cameron's statement (of course, the first thing I have to kick is my own.)

He must have been showered with many honorary degrees by Canadian universities, Brian. He took another one from Carleton University in Ottawa on June 13. Funny, the word "thirteen" is the first one to be heard in "Titanic" ("Thirteen metres... you should see it.") But I got to see him and hear him live. He keeps saying everywhere to the students: "If a guy from Kippawa (sp?) Falls could kick ass, you should be able to do it, too."

Brock University? Next he'll be receiving honorary degrees from Carnegie-Mellon University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and Brown University.
