Digital Printing

I need to set up a comercial Digital print buisness and like the quality Fuji Pictography and the Kodak one (Not suer of it's Name). My question is there any way of setting up that quality on a budget. The Fuji paper cost about#3-00 ($4-50)per Sheet. The printer is #10,000-00 here in Ireland but that would be ok if I can keep the running cost down.

Dont know if this would help with running costs but, have you tried Tetrnal Spectra Jet Paper. Lovely surface quick drying and very nice

Digital is really coming on strong. I looked into both the Fuji and Kodak Systems and purchased the Kodak 8650. The unit is more portable for location assignments but both are excellent products. Have you seen the Sienna system it uses photographic paper up to 11x14 size. The printer is expensive ( about $30,000 U.S. ) but if you are starting to do a volume of work your cost per 8x10 sheet drops from $2.75 to about .50 cents MAKING YOU MORE MONEY!!! If you are a Photoshop user I have a way of making package units( 2- 5x7, 3- 4x6, 2- 4x6 & 3 wallets, 9 wallets are a few of the options ) without spending thousands on packaging software.
