I find it very, very interesting that Lighthouse has not been on the forum recently..... someone spending nights at the courthouse???!!!

-- Eloise (Elfin9@yahoo.com), October 20, 1998.

Wrong the lighthouse is spending the night at the jailhouse after breaking the laws. It's the mauleg mohon way.

Lighthouse keeper-

THE GAME IS UP.......................

-- Dan Courts (toosupreme@activist.com), October 20, 1998.

Eloise and Dan Courts,

You both are too kind, worrying about my welfare and all. It's sweet, but not necessary. I've been busy, and can't spend every night with you guys. My wife and child need me too.

I have not been in jail, nor arrested, nor have I ever been. Such insinuations are reckless and without evidence.

The little time I've had in the last couple of days to check this forum out has been spent trying to reorganize the forum, and I suspect this will take a little more time. I'll try to keep up, but I doubt I'll be able to respond to everything written here.

If you have any specific questions or issues for me, please address me specifically. But don't expect me to post here everyday. I don't expect you to post here every day, and I wouldn't flame you for failing to do so.

Thanks.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 21, 1998.

Lighthouse Keeper.... did you know Tony Sanchez was off-island for a couple days and just returned, were you on the same flight??!!

-- Dan Courts (toosupreme@activist.com), October 21, 1998.

Dan,

You're way off. Keep guessing. I'm not a director of any agency or entity. As proof I wasn't on that flight, look at the other threads in this forum (including "no new threads for now") and you'll see that while I haven't been keeping up with the forum, I have posted one or two messages a day. If you have any proof otherwise, please offer it.

I'm not sure why the 98ers are so intent on guessing my identity, except that they want to attack me in some way, just as they have every single other person who has exposed what is going on in Karl's administration. You're free to keep trying, and perhaps one of these days you'll guess right, but does it really matter?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 21, 1998.

I'm way off, oh really. Lets see, with today's technology you can easily POST on this forum from an off-island location. However, you were unable to ALTER the forum because you could only do it from your personal work station. As RTT said to Ginger, if its any consolation, if Lighthouse Keeper were here he would have removed the postings. Why would your good buddy RTT, who obviously knows who you are and where you were write that if you were indeed still here as you claim??!!

The reason your identity matters in this case is that if you are who I suspect you are, you are heavily involved with former governor Ada's campaign and therefore your claim that you are against Carl but not for Joe except for the fact that he is ABC, is false.

-- Dan Courts (toosupreme@activist.com), October 21, 1998.

I wonder where Chris Barnett's posting went- I looked all over the forum and it seemed to have VANISHED!!!!

It's funny since you can't delete something that you posted.....It kind of makes you wonder...

I personally think that the Lighthouse Keeper and Chris Barnett have something in common and actually know each other!!! Hmmmmm.

Why did you delete it Lighthouse?

-- Janet (allsmiles@hotmail.com), October 21, 1998.

Dan Courthouse,

As administrator, I can delete and modify posts in the forum from any computer that can access the web. All I need is the password. With today's technology, why would I only be able to modify the forum from home? Any more so-called evidence? Actually, you are free to go on thinking I'm Tony Sanchez -- maybe then you'll stop searching for who I really am. The only reason I bother to dispute it is because Tony might not want to be known as me.

To the guy who asked why I deleted the thread on Chris Barnett -- I didn't think it was very relevant to the election issues. FYI, I also deleted a thread on Randy Cunliff, so are you going to accuse me of being friends with him too?

To everyone else: I deleted a couple of recent posts because they were insulting, full of hate, and full of profanity. Let us not result to profanity, insults or hate. This forum is for rational discussion, no matter how far we are from hitting that mark. I will continue to delete posts that are profane and are aimed only at insulting another participant in the forum. If you have specific posts you'd like me to apply this standard to, simply ask. There is no need to insinuate any wrongdoing if I haven't deleted an insulting post no one has asked me to delete.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 22, 1998.

lighthouse

You have fabricated facts and negative evidence in support of Joe Ada. You act so unfaithfully to the truth and you continue not to reveal your mysterious real name. We have an idea of who you are and prefer that you to contiue with your evil ways. Your negative pregant approach will be soon over.

-- (love@kuentos.com), October 22, 1998.

Lighthouse - Chris Barnett is relevant to the campaign because he is the organizer of the 7c's committee (a POLITICAL action group)and openly campaigns for Joe Ada, he even had PDN publish a full-page ad. Please reconsider your decision. The truth about him needs to be revealed. Same goes for all the other vocal protestors like Brandon what's his face who got fired from Marianas Variety because he was campaigning for Angel.

-- Jane (mansolo@hotmail.com), October 22, 1998.

Jane,

Chris has made himself a public figure, so I'm sure he'll get some criticism. But being part of the 7Cs committee doesn't make him rightfully the subject of attack. I haven't seen everything the 7Cs committee is doing, but what I have heard about is their claims of corruption and a PDN ad that was based on documented evidence. It's these claims that should be attacked, if you disagree with them, not the people making the claims. Attack the arguments, not the people.

If you want to refute the 7Cs claims, you are free to do it in any thread on this forum. If you would like me to put up a thread about an issue you want to debate, let me know. I won't put up another thread about Chris, or any other person posting on this forum. I'm about to remove the thread about Tommy, as you suggested. I've also removed threads about Bob Kelly and Randy Cunliff. I think I've been fair. Thanks for your input.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 23, 1998.

Jane,

And exactly what is the "truth" about me? Also, just so you don't look stupid, I am not the organizer of the 7-C's committee. I was asked to join when it was already in its formative stages.

You also call me a Joe Ada supporter. Like Lighthouse Keeper, I realize Joe Ada is the better choice in this election, because of Karl's korrupt and krooked ways. But, should Joe be the same, the 7- C's and I will vote against him in 4 years.

Glad I could enlighten you. Nice to see you begging Lighthouse to start a thread about me. I'm flattered. I see you are one of my biggest fans!

Thanks, Chris

-- (chris@malafunkshun.com), October 24, 1998.

Chris

The only corrupted thing that you can prove is your mind. You are full of bull.

-- (See@kuentos.com), October 25, 1998.

To See:

What about Chris' statements do you think is bull, and why do you think that is so? Why do you think his mind is corrupted?

If you throw out assertions like the ones you've made, I think it would be more enlightening if you provide your reasons for the statements, so we can decide whether we agree with them or not. Be specific, and lay out your reasoning.

Thanks for your contribution and thanks in advance for helping make this a forum for rational debate.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 25, 1998.

TO EVERYONE:

I have deleted a series of posts aimed at attacking Chris Barnett. I have said repeatedly that personal attacks, insults and profanity won't be allowed. This is my stated policy and I will follow this as best as I can.

Jane, I said before that you can talk about any of Chris' claims or the 7Cs claims or arguments, but please don't make personal attacks against him. He's another participant of this forum and I am requesting civility among participants. My suggestion is that you take a claim that Chris or the 7Cs have made (such as "the governor has hired numerous family members at thousands of dollars of taxpayer expense") and tear it apart logically and rationally. Provide counterarguments and facts. Chris is not fair game in this forum. Please attack him elsewhere.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 26, 1998.

Lighthouse, Chris asked me to give him the "truth about him" as he put it and so I did. He asked for it. It is unfair for you to leave his remarks and take mine off. As far as the governor hiring people related to him, on Guam almost everyone is related. Someone had to be hired for those jobs and the same money would be paid to whomever was hired.

-- Jane (mansolo@hotmail.com), October 26, 1998.

Jane, Please concentrate on the issues, not on Chris Barnett. He is not running for office in case you didn't know. Give us some enlightenment on how this administration is so corrupt or I guess in your case, excuses. True, some of the people here are related to each other, but not "most" even if they were related, does that mean they are the right person for a government job position? Of course you see it all the time, underqualified people getting the job because of their "connections". Do other fellow Gov. workers condone those hiring practices? only if the person him/herself was hired in the same fashion. I personally don't like it, but it happens and it doesn't have to be that way. Someone has to do the job, you said. True, but not just anyone or a relative, have higher standards and pay the right person to do the job. I'll give Joe a chance come election day because I'm tired of 98, I mean: I hate 98!

-- johnny bravo cruze (thumb@yahoo.com), October 26, 1998.

Gee Johnny, having a bad year? Looks like 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 aren't gonna be so good for you either.

-- Antonio (allsmiles@hotmail.com), October 26, 1998.

yeah, Know why? because my $65,000 salary won't increase to $70,000 until 99. I'm crying! I'm still the one!

-- johnny bravo cruze (thumb@yahoo.com), October 26, 1998.

Lighthouse

Your forum is the biggest joke on the island, the tables have turned on you. Now, you want to talk about issues! Yeah, just like the 'mualegged' team just discovered that the numbers are not with them and it seems it can't change. It's late and '98' will be in 99. You and Chris can go and talk about all the bull and dirt you posted for the rest of your sorry lives because 'Still the One' is marching on to victory.

-- (light@kuentos.com), October 26, 1998.

Johnny, for someone who makes a lot of cash and seems to hold a high position, whatever it is, you are extremely immature. And just so its clear, you're NOT the one!

-- Antonio (allsmiles@hotmail.com), October 26, 1998.

Say whatever you wish jane/antonio, immature is a relative term. Please define mature. I don't wish to get into a sparring match with you in order to satisfy your urge to fight. Sticking to the issues, karl or should I say barbie doll's saying in 98's recent ad about taking the high road, well that sounds like a smokescreen cause they ain't exactly high roaders, dirt road is more like it.But if you got a 98 sign in your yard he MAY pave it for you at taxpayers expense. Same goes for the power 98 power pole giveaway. I paid for my pole, 750 smackers to be exact. I have nothing against helping people who need it, but why try to hide the list of people who did get the free poles. Maybe it would be 98 supportors who have the giant signs, or people in a high income bracket.

BTW jane/antonio, I got my position by merits alone, can you say the same?

immature johnny bravo

ANYBODY WANNA BUY SOME 98 FUNDRAISER TICKETS?

JUST GO TO THE AG'S OFFICE. THE TICKETS ARE ON THE TABLE, RIGHT NEXT TO WHERE THEY DROP AL THE CASES.

-- Dakta Ziegfried (0U812@zeigfried.edu), October 27, 1998.

Mr. David Camacho said, that if you won't buy his tickets and vote for him he would fire the Attorney General. No major problem says Mr. Camacho I will not sale any more tickets even if you beg, cause sales are good.

-- (sales@kuentos.com), October 27, 1998.

First of all "Dakta", would you like to buy tickets to help fund the ADA school of communication?

Second, hey "Out-house", when your so called "ABC" candidate loses the election, will you announce to everyone who reads this good for nothing whinners forum who you really are? What have you got to lose??? are you afraid to lose your high paying wasted job?...if you do lose it, you can always go to the civil service commission. (deleted needless personal insults here that the moderator has warned about but some people don't learn)

thank you outhouse for giving myself and the rest of the whinners here a chance to blast this administration and the one who wasted 8years in office....

See you at the 98 headquarters for the victory celebration...

-- who is you (something ada would say) (lejislaturezzz@ada school of communication.com), October 27, 1998.

"Lighthouse", its been fun! Come November 3rd may the best man win.

Peace.

-- Eloise (Elfin9@yahoo.com), October 29, 1998.

Where is lighthouse this week? I hope reflecting on how he can make a positive contribution to Guam. How he can build instead of tear down. How he can love instead of hate. How he can really do something to contribute to the people of Guam instead of bitch about the Governor and his staff. I leave you with the Desiderata to reflect on this weekend as we seek to build on the wonderful unity displayed for our President's visit. Reflect on the postings and lack of charity and good will displayed. No one is perfect but failure to exorcise the evil spirits of hate will continue to consume those who harbor them. Here is my thought for the day:

THE DESIDERATA

The Desiderata of Happiness by Max Ehlrmann (1948 and 1967) Desiderata = the sense of something missing, the thing desired, - Oxford Concise Dictionary

Go placidly among the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself.

Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the Universe; no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham and drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

-- Max Ehlrmann (Desiderata@agana.com), November 28, 1998.
