THE 98 SINS OF KARL GUTIERREZ

greenspun.com : LUSENET : 1998 Guam Elections : One Thread

King Karl's sins against the people are adding up, and I think it's time to count them. I'm sure we'll come up with more than 98, but for some reason I just like that number. Not sure why ...

So, I'll start the list of 98 sins, and you can feel free to add your own. Just try not to be redundant, and try to keep the numbers in order. Here goes ...

Answers

1. Pardoned rapists

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

2. Won't pay for our kids' textbooks.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

3. Lets his son and brother get away with dealing drugs.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

4. Signed filthy incinerator contract despite expense and health risks to Guam's people.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

5. Litters Guam with those irritating 98 signs and keeps playing that infernal "Still the one" song, despite that the sound of it makes our ears bleed and our children cry with anguish.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

6. Used Guam Telephone Authority money to buy lush, lavish, luxurious furniture for his house while our kids go without textbooks.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

7. Paved private driveways with taxpayer money just so he could buy votes.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

8. Let's not even get into the missy torres thing, which he admitted to. Sicko!

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

9. Made dirty deals with the Kalvos so he could control the media and manipulate the information that voters receive.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

10. Illegally used federal funds to put his well-off friends up at the Hilton Hotel after Paka.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

11. Sued the elected board of education for years after he got into office, just so he could get more power, and after he bragged about being one of the main senators who created the elected board. The result? The military pulled its kids out of Guam's school system, and millions of federal dollars with it.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

12. Refuses to close the Ordot Dump -- unless senators (and taxpayers) pay for his dirty incinerator deal.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

13. Bought expensive luxury vehicles for himself using taxpayer and GPD money.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

14. Continuously campaigns on taxpayer dollars. For example, the shameless supplemental magazines he buys in the PDN to praise govguam workers, like the GPA magazine with hundreds of employees pictures. There's nothing wrong with praising good work, but when the governor's picture is all over the front, there's no doubt that we're paying for another of his ads. The Paka special supplemental magazine was another perfect example.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

15. Painted everything that hideous red and yellow. Yuck! At least have the taste to choose some subtle colors!

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

16. Pays his sister $65,000 to walk around and do nothing.

-- The Guam News (guamnews@hotmail.com), October 11, 1998.

17. Pays his brother $68,000 to sit on the "Komitea Para Tiyan". A committee for developing economic ideas for Tiyan. Driving by Tiyan, we can see all the wonderful work that's been done. The editor-in- chief of the Marianas Daily Variety is also on that board. Media bias?

-- The Guam News (guamnews@hotmail.com), October 11, 1998.

18. Karl won't let information out this close to the election. NO unemployment rate, NO real crime stats, NO news of our economic woes ($50 million shortfall).

-- The Guam News (guamnews@hotmail.com), October 11, 1998.

19. He pays his spin doctors too much of our money. Average salary for Gutierrez blow-jobber = $70,000.

-- The Guam News (guamnews@hotmail.com), October 11, 1998.

20. People forget that the King RAISED OUR GPA RATES, GTA RATES, and PUAG (oops WATERWORKS RATES). It was a stupid decision to change the name when water is full of lead

-- Time Matter (ron@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

21. He illegally created a policy document for the govt -- Vision 2001 -- without the approval of the Legislature, as required by law. Then, he took this taxpayer-funded document to Vision 2001 fundraisers and raised more than $200,000 from it for his 98 campaign. Illegal in more ways than one!

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

22. He has his lackeys do incredibly unethical phone surveys, asking people their stance on politics and controversial issues. Then he takes that information and uses it for blackmail!

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

23. He has his "cabinet", otherwise known as directors of agencies, kampaigning for him 7 days a week, on GOVERNMENT TIME! No, these directors don't have a strict 40 hr work week, but you'd expect them to be in the office at least HALF the day! Instead, they're either at the 98 kampaign headquarters, or at some rally or function, but never at their agencies. Is this what we're paying millions of $$$ for?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

24. He has hard-working citizens (along with lotsa big businesses) donate to his kampaign, but then gives tens of thousands to his wife, brothers, and madeleine for their personal accounts (this is all verified in the tapes of phone konversations sent to the fbi). Is this what people donated to his kampaign for? So Karl could get even richer?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

25. Karl let his governor's office employees take trips to New York and Europe on frequent flier miles -- the same frequent flier miles earned on expensive trips taken at government (taxpayer) expenses. In effect, he's letting them take expensive cruises on our dime.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

26. He ruined Guam's chances at getting commonwealth status by donating $600K that stirred up a major controversy in Washington and made it an issue no one from the House to the White House wanted to touch. The result: Clinton's administration said "NO" to every major point Guam was asking for at the commonwealth hearing last October. The result for Karl: Clinton endorsed him in a TV ad and now Clinton is coming to Guam as part of Karl's kampaign.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

27. He created a climate in the government and in the public where NO ONE except a few senators are willing to speak out against the injustices the King is doing in the govt. A Climate of Fear. It's sick.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

28. Karl forces business who want to get government contracts to either donate to his kampaign, publicly support him, publicly support the incinerator, or all three! Dozens of business will tell you this - - not publicly -- but many of them are talking to the FBI.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

29. Overspent incredibly as chairman of the Legislature's Ways and Means committee, then blamed the government's poor financial shape on Joe Ada. Remember, the Legislature is the only branch with the power to appropriate money.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

30. He blamed Ada for the deficit he created as Ways and Means chairman, then borrowed a lot of money and transferred the short term debt into long term debt -- with interest -- then has the gall to say he eliminated the deficit. All while spending more money than the government actually takes in. The nerve.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

31. He cut back on police officers, let the crime rate and ice problem skyrocket over his first three years, then hired about a hundred officers ONLY DURING THIS ELECTION YEAR! And has the gall to say he's fighting crime! Where was he from 95 thru 97? And the first half of this year?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

32. Exposed the general public to his disgusting dancing during his 98 kampaign ads on TV -- do we really have to see the King shaking his booty?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

33. Micromanagement -- King Karl has to make all decisions, including hiring decisions, for agencies and directors in govguam. Just hire competent people and let them do their job! But hiring competent people might be beyond Karl's capabilities. I'll get to that.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

34. He has hired thousands of people during this election year, when the government is broke, just to get votes. What happened to fiscal responsibility, Karl?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

35. He lied about the thousands of Marines coming to Guam. Wonder what that was about? Seriously. If anyone knows, please post the answer somewhere.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

36. He has done nothing with Tiyan. It was supposed to be an economic zone, to help small businesses, but instead the King transferred govt agencies there at great expense, turning Hagatna into a ghost town in the meantime. And during all this time, GPA and Guam Waterworks are owed millions because Tiyan isn't built for utility billing.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

37. Won't give any funding to the public auditor, so the King's administration won't really be audited. What are you trying to hide Karl? Judging from the other stuff we've found out, we know what you're trying to hide.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

38. He messed up the AG's office and criminal prosecution with political interference, including the prohibiting of prosecution of his friends and family (ever heard of Michelle Limtiaco -- where is that case now?)

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

39. Carl used to be Ricky Bordallo's Boboy until he narced and ratted on his ass back in 1985. He got Ricky caught, and Ricky later killed himself before he could be shipped to a Federal prison. He later holds a party and drinks champagne to his accomplishment. Half a decade later teams up with Ricky's widowed wife, all the while screwing over the Govt. of Guam millions of dollars as the Chairman of Ways and Means of the legislature. Carl's biggest contribution to this island as Governor was building the statue of Ricky J. Bordallo and naming adelup after him...talk about the biggest HYPOCRATE

-- Frank Cruz (kocruz@hotmail.com), October 12, 1998.

40. He insulted the people's collective intelligence with this War on Ice thing. It might be a good idea (although Dr. Dombrowski migh differ from that opinion), but it's obviously a cover for his LACK of progress with the ice problem. No treatment of ice users (or barely any). Ice use has skyrocketed. Ice prices have lowered. The King's family uses ice. Don't make us laugh.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

41. Two words: Butch Camacho. Ugh!

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

42. Another two words: Tommy Okada. What, is Tiyan Reuse Authority where Karl puts all he reject management people? And then when Tommy steals money and uses ice every lunch hr, Karl "punishes" him by sending him to L.A. for $96K.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

43. Another two words: Juan Rosario. This guy has the chutzpah to tell federal KAL crash investigators that he got his position as head of civil defense because he knows the governor. Duh! How else can idiots like Juan get that job. Glad we can feel safe when a disaster roams around.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

44. Yet another two words: Ginger Cruz. Can't he find anybody who can lie better? Remember this quote: "He's the governor of this whole damn island. He can't worry about everything."

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 12, 1998.

45. Karl put his spin doctors on this forum to distract us from the real issues. Yet another attempt to hide from actual debate. Makes you go "hmmm..."

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

46. Karl makes klaims about building schools and ending loadshedding, misleading us and ignoring the fact that Joe Ada actually started the projects and all Karl did was a ribbon-cutting.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

47. Karl hired Peter Sgro Jr. to represent govguam, knowing Pete's unscrupulous ways and media manipulating tactics, ending up in a public reprimand of Petey and govguam and worst of all, costing taxpayers about $31,000 in needless fines because Petey forgot to do any legal research. Guam is embarrassed and poorer because of this. Nice job, Karl.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

48. Karl's precious prosecution office has dismissed more than 600 cases and has another 1,900 dismissals coming up because of political interference and incompetence. I'm not sure if Karl is letting felons free because he thinks their families will vote for him, or because of incompetence. Too close to call ...

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

49. Two words: Michelle Limtiaco. Another word: murder. Another few words: Tommy and Roy Gutierrez implicated by Michelle's letter. Hmmm...

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

50. Karl paid for a $25,000 renovation of a private house! Votes, anyone?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

51. Karl's Guam Housing Corporation gave a big loan to Debbi Bordallo and Norbert Perez so they could build a luxury house featured on KUAM's Island Focus segment on beautiful houses. And they bought a luxury vehicle with the money. I'm sure Debbi, director of CAHA, needed the money really badly.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

52. Karl's Guam Housing Corporation gave a big loan to Gil Shinohara's family, I think also for a luxury vehicle, and I'm sure THEY needed the money too. Who is Gil the chief of staff for? Oh yeah, the King.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

53. Karl's kampaign fundraising is extremely fishy -- $2.1 million BEFORE the primary? And counting? What is the $20,000 donation to the Agana Heights church for? What is the $20,000 donation to Geri Gutierrez for? Why are there dead people listed as contributors? Don't worry, the FBI has Karl's kampaign documents -- they'll give us an explanation.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

54. He misled all of us with that Angel endorsement ad. Angel is NOT supporting Karl. He's Karl's #1 detractor. Angel supports Joe Ada, obviously because Joe is less korrupt than Karl. Why would you so blatantly try to mislead us with that ad, Karl? Who do you think you're fooling?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

55. He misled us with the Patti Garrido ad, calling her a Chamorro activist while she proclaimed Karl "still the one." He neglected to mention the fact that Patti Garrido has at least $32,000 in contracts with the governor's office for "public education." I guess she's supposed to educate us about who exactly is still the one, because we must not have caught all the other ads. But to call her a chamorro rights activist and not tell us about her being paid by Karl? Come on.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

56. He misled us with an ad with Ron Teehan, who he also labelled as a Chamorro rights activist. Teehan is being paid thousands (anybody know his exact salary?) as some kind of federal coordinator for Karl, and we're supposed to think Teehan is an independent speaker? We're not that dumb. Oh yeah, Teehan -- are you covered by the mini-hatch act? I think so. Are you supposed to be endorsing candidates publicly? I think not. Are you going to be punished by Karl's civil service commission? I guess not.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

57. Karl has tried in every way to stop the witness's story from coming out in the public about his son and brothers and advisors drug use. The witness gave a sworn deposition, which is a public document. But now Bernadete Stern has resigned from KUAM because Joey Kalvo killed a story she was doing on the Tommy Gutierez case. And word on the street is that Karl and his lawyers were seen going into the PDN - - no wonder they haven't run a story on this public document and this major news story. Someone has intimidated them. Wonder who?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

58. He lets his kronies get away with everything. Mention the company name "Transrama" to Karl and then mention "Gil Shinohara" then say "stolen, expensive government bricks taken to Gil's mother's house" and both Karl and Gil will start shaking.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

59. Karl has failed at every turn to address the korruption in his administration. Every time there's a charge of crime or korruption in his government, Karl hides from it, uses his attack dogs to ruin someone's reputation, intimidates people, and does everything in his power to stop the korruption from being investigated.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

60. Karl gave millions of dollars in GEDA loans to former political opponent Tommy Tanaka, so that Tommy could save his failing business and repay the TAXPAYER loan with a political ad supporting Karl in the PDN. Is that all it takes to buy out Tommy?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

61. Karl gave millions of dollars in a bus stop contract to former political opponent Tommy Tanaka, so that Tommy could save his failing business and take out a political TV ad supporting Karl and attacking Joe Ada on KUAM.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

62. Karl's bluff was called when he threatened Angel Santos with a lawsuit at the last UOG primary debate, and then when Angel refused to give in to the paltry demands, Karl DIDN'T file a lawsuit like he claimed he would. Fulla hot air.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

63. Karl has his supporters flooding the CyberMag online poll so that we'll all think he's so popular, we might as well vote for him anyway. The word from Computerland folks is that Karl had about 100 of his supporters come to the site to vote en masse. It's ridiculous. Also look at the remote site poll's senatorial results: the governor's candidates (galen, bitanga, james nelson, ted, eloy, etc.) have almost exactly the same number of votes. Sound suspicious?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

64. Karl puts the 98 signs ALL over Guam for a reason more insidious than just to get exposure (and goodness knows he likes to expose himself :). The real reason: if people see these 98 signs and stickers all over the place, they'll give up and say -- this guy is so popular, why don't I join the pack? Maybe I'll get something out of it like everyone else (like a govt job!). But how does he get the 98 signs on people's yards and stickers on their cars in the first place? Not through popularity -- through government favors (contracts, jobs, etc.), through other business deals, loans, political support, etc. Karl is the master of politics.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

65. Karl breaks all kampaign fundraising laws. He breaks the campaign donation limit by having his big business friends donate, say $20,000 or $50,000, and by giving them 200 or 500 tickets to his fundraising dinners that cost $100 each. Since the tickets are exactly $100, he's not required to report the donators. So hundreds of people come to his fundraisers for free (got the tickets from their employers) and think "wow, Karl's so popular!" and all the while Karl is racking up millions in donations miraculously, when the economy is going down the tubes and businesses are laying off people.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

66. He's really a financial wizard -- unemployement is at an all time high (although you'll never get those numbers from the Department of Labor) and yet Karl's friends are getting away with hiring illegal h2 workers when our fellow locals are out of jobs.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

67. He takes credit for everything, no matter that he had nothing to do with it. But the KAL crash thing was sick -- he had his camera men there the whole day as he "rescued" people and got in the way of real rescue workers. When a rescue worker spoke up, Karl ordered the local firemen to attack the brave rescue worker for telling the truth and exercising his right to free speech. And Karl had the nerve to go on every national media he could, portraying himself as a hero, campaigning, posing with a little Korean girl just to get votes.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 14, 1998.

68. He uses government employees for his kampaign -- remember the AHRD workers who were putting up 98 signs? Then the AHRD director, a Karl lackey, said he conducted his own investigation and found nothing. We were all so surprised. Is that how we investigate crimes in this government -- through people appointed by Karl, who are paid by Karl and who can be fired by Karl?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 15, 1998.

69. He had dozens of government workers put up canopies and streetlights for Geri's birthday party, a big kampaign bash for Karl. Then he had the nerve to insult our intelligence and "investigate" the charges himself, insult our intelligence by saying that the cost to the government was $24 -- according to the PDN story, it's a non- billable amount.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 15, 1998.

70. Directs the GPA director to hook up power to certain houses without inspection by Public Works which is the process which had to be followed by the rest of the populace during the power restoration after Typhoon Paka. "Preferential treatment"

-- Che'lu (lubanos@ite.net), October 16, 1998.

71. He had his people "leak" news of an investigation by Public Health, which he kontrols, of Charfauros's wife's food stamps that was based on an "anonymous call". And we are supposed to think there is an actual crime committed here by Mark. I think the crime is the insult to our intelligence.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 16, 1998.

72. When Chris Barnett led hundreds of others in speaking out against the korruption in Karl's administration, Karl had his business buddy Paul Kalvo (remember the incinerator and other govguam kontracts?) run a "news" opinion attacking Chris. Who are you supporting now, Paul?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 16, 1998.

73. Karl had a guy who was fired 10 years ago come out against Joe Ada and Tony L.G. with highly libelous statements -- with absolutely no evidence, mind you -- on KUAM (who do they support, again?) in a story that gave the other side no chance to respond. We really believe this story.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 16, 1998.

Was there any more corroboration for Antoinette Quitagua's story than for John Martinez's? Why would you believe one and not the other. Verification and corroboration may come out at a later date but so far there is none for either person's story. The PDN and K-57 didn't do the story because they felt there wasn't enough evidence. I thought you said that KUAM was biased IN FAVOR OF Carl. Why are they the only media that ran the story? It's a good thing Bernadette Stern did the story while she was at KUAM because Jon Anderson wouldn't let her do it at K-57.

-- Truthkeeper (truthkeeper@hotmail.com), October 16, 1998.

There are big differences between Antoinette and John Martinez's statements. Antoinette has made her statements in a sworn deposition - - Martinez just did it on KUAM. Antoinette is a witness in an ongoing civil suit in the courts (initiated by Karl) -- Martinez just came forward now, 10 years later, before the election, with no prompting by anyone or any recent event? Why didn't he come out in the 1990 election? Antoinette made statements and Karl's side had ample time to respond -- KUAM didn't give Tony L.G. or Joe Ada any real time to review the charges against them, consult lawyers (as Karl did) and respond adequately to the charges. Antoinette saw the ice use first hand -- Martinez only has an unsigned document as evidence and hearsay.

Bernadete did the story about Antoinette before she resigned from KUAM, but guess why she resigned? She did a second story on the drug case, and Joey Kalvo killed the story just before the news broadcast and took the tapes of the interview with David Lujan, probably so Joey could give it to his buddy Tommy Gutierrez. Sound ethical to you?

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 16, 1998.

Lets see if lighthouse has the integrity to remove Dave Jonstone's (nebertell2)unsubstantiated post regarding Ginger. Of course the 1998 Guam Elections forum is famous for its double standard.

-- (me@you.com), October 19, 1998.

Lighthouse will never do anything good for Carl it's the mugleg way. Like Joe Ada said 'the truth hurts' 'so don't say that I have not done anything in 8 years'.

-- (kidding@kuentos.com), October 19, 1998.

When I first bookmarked this site, I was expecting an open forum mediated by impartial and unbiased "webmaster". Instead I found a site that 'Lighthouse Keeper' uses to launch his own vendetta against the governor on an anonymous basis. If 'Lighthouse Keeper" wants to catch my ear anymore, he better come forth and do it in a public manner. I see no reason to waste the least amount of my computer's capacity just to see "the kettle calling the pot black"!!

-- Bob (rhess@ns.gov.gu), October 20, 1998.

Bobby Boy, What's wrong Boy, Can't take the heat!! Do us all a favor and turn your system off. Nobody's twisting your arm to continue participating in this forum. Or, is their? Who's paying you and how much?

-- loner (justme@aol.com), October 20, 1998.

Bobby Boy,

The only narrow minded snake around here is you! What do you know about honest and objective opinions? I know how ignorant and retaliatory some people can be, hell Those same "influential" people are in control of this government. They do get mad and attack you from all angles. I doubt very much that you have any wisdom.

"GET A LIFE"

To Ginger:

I apologize for the delay in deleting the post. It had nothing to do with you or Karl. I've been busy and haven't been able to keep up with the forum. I responded to your email and told you I would delete the message as you requested, but I didn't find the message until tonight.

To everyone:

It's been insinuated that I have a double standard in deleting libelous posts from this forum. Perhaps so. I try my best to apply the same standard, but if anyone has specific statements they'd like me to consider for deletion, please point them out.

Thanks to all.

NOTE TO ALL:

This thread is getting long, and at the request of another forum participant, I am continuing it in a new thread entitled "98 SINS OF KARL II". Please post new messages over there, so we don't have to wait 5 minutes for this thread to load up in the computer. I'll pick up at Sin #75 (Joe Public's unnumbered sin was #74, I believe).

SECOND NOTE: I have deleted a libelous post about Tony L.G. and a few very profane posts by "RHess", who seems to keep coming back despite his statement that this is a waste of time. Everyone is welcome, but let's try to keep it clean. Thanks.

Does anyone even care to ask KARL WHAT happened to the SRF workers. They may have been civil service workers but they were still our people. Some people lost $25.00/hr jobs.(THANKS ANGEL SANTOS!!!GET REAL!!!!!) Anyways, did anybody see KARL stand up and say to the federal government that we need them and our several hundred maybe even thousand "CHAMORRO" workers need the money for their families. I never saw him stand up for my dad!THANKS KARL....YOUR STILL THE ONE WHO DIDN'T HELP THE PEOPLE OF GUAM!!!!!!!!!!
