Our Fire Chief recently returned from a conference in Louisville, Kentucky. He said there were 15,00 different "responders" there, including EMS teams, ambulance, etc. One of their priorities was beefing up their response times due to the threat of terrorisim and "other threats." All of those attending the conference were highly encouraged to have this issue on the front burner BEFORE 2000. (The chief's words, not mine).
